Cascade County?
Cascade County Website ^ | 03/26/05 | StarfireIV

I found this yesterday on The Seattle Times website. In typical Seattle newspaper fashion, the posting of the story and the 03/24 meeting announcement were a day late. Something to consider, especially since one of the proposed maps dividing King Co. into King and Cascade counties involved reducing King Co. to only Seattle and the north end.

TOPICS: Crime/Corruption; Culture/Society; Government; News/Current Events; Politics/Elections; US: Washington
KEYWORDS: corruption; dinorossi; kingcounty; propertyrights; stolenelections; themostcorruptstate
I liken containing the corruption of King Co. to the way pornography and red light districts were contained in many cities by allowing them to be only in one location.

they seem to be doing this a lot...

In Ohio, the big 3 C's have mostly their own county (Cleveland has grown to almost 2) and Dayton has it's own as well and while not named for the specific cities, they are more or less completely influenced by the cities or, as in the case of Franklin county, mostly annexed by Columbus.........

I was not aware of this going on in Ohio. Were they successful?

they are...just look at a map of Franklin county.....there is very little unincorporated area left and most of that is empty.

Hamilton (Cincy) and Lake (Cleveland) are the same way, if not more so....they have a higher density than Columbus does....

Well, here's hoping. Thanks for your service BTW. I was litening to Brian Suits; a local talk show host who is back from his tour of duty. Clearly the real news is not getting past the MSM phalanx.

no biggie...I was just a contractor over there....

Columbus isn't a bad city to live in. at least IMO. After having moved around a lot in my life, I really like it here....

Isn't this the same place where the enviro-wackos just screwed a lot of property owners out of the right to use their property as they see fit? Where one landowner said she is now only allowed to let her dog run on 2 of the 5 acres she owns and that she must pay $800 for a permit to pick raspberries on her own property?

Yep. That kind of nonsense, along with governor's race recount-until-you-get-the-results-you-want debacle has fueled the desire to quarentine the madness.

well I think Columbus has been affected negatively by Bubba Bob Taft...it was closer this year than it was in 2000....

there was another one spot of blue up by Toledo...I think we should let Missagain have it !! :)

yeah I have heard about that Lucas Co. Do us a favor and go!@! :)

I think the Marriage amendment was going to pass with or without Bob. I think he has become irrelevant in Ohio and that isnta good thing when you are the govenor....

you should have heard me at the OSU-Missagain game this year...I had a different (and admittedly vulgar) adaptation of the Missagain fight song, that my mother, Born and raised in Detroit, wholeheartedly agreed with :)

Posting from within that self-same county... yes, it is. We need to be separated from Sodom on the Sound.

Is there a decent Anglican congregation in the area? I was disgusted with the kinds of sermons coming out of the cathedral on Capitol Hill recently.

I can imagine you were.

There are several Continuing Anglican parishes locally:

Anglican Province in America (2 in Seattle)

Anglican Province of Christ the King (1 in Woodinville -- two FReepers attending)

United Anglican Church (1 in Bellevue)

Links to the above, including parish listings, may be found on the page in my tagline.

I cannot speak to any churches in ECUSA; when we moved here twenty-two years ago we didn't find any ECUSA churches we could join. The best we found, as I recall, was Resurrection in Bellevue, and Holy Cross, Redmond. St. Luke's (Seattle area?), Dennis Bennett's old church, might be okay still.

It seems to me that it is a theme heard all over parts of the US in close proximity to an urban center, but at least you haven't had the dead vote in the last election. Well, not yet anyway.
