My forefathers rose up with Winston to fight the Nazis, and it was to defend Britain - not just as a geographical expression, but as an idea of liberty, freedom and individual rights. My grandfather was among the first wave at Normandy on Omaha beach. Sometimes I wonder why he fought at all given to what we are morphing into now, he should hae just tossed his Garand down and cried "uncle!" to the Nazis. Then again, America, the UK, and so on, were different then, where life was valued.
