Let Terri's spilt blood cry out to Judge Greer for mercy.

My wife and I were listening to a nurse (Heidi?) a few minutes ago telling again about the withheld therapy, etc.

My wife has been a charge nurse in several nursing homes here in Ohio for 40+ years. She says this situation could not happen in Ohio because we have an ombudsman law in our state and that the family and these nurses could have called on the ombudsman to step in years ago.

So, has the Florida Governor and legislature been the ones who were brain dead all these years?

As much as I feel for the parents in this tragic situation, I think you folks may well be whuppin on the wrong scapegoat by focusing on this judge. Unless the entire judicial system has been corrupted, he would appear to be following the law as it exists and has not been corrected/changed in fifteen years!

Icon, I agree--yes, the judge must go, but frankly, the laws have to be changed. I pray that Terri does not die in vain. If this can be done to her--this is a very public case remember--what is being done behind the scenes where there is no public and media attention?

"we have an ombudsman law in our state and that the family and these nurses could have called on the ombudsman to step in years ago."

Such is all fine and dandy but when anyone with a public trust (such as a ombudsman or appelate court) is compromised, by bribery, blackmail, brainwashing or Marxist/UN agenda, the deadly lie is that it has been reviewed by an objective party. This In My Humble Opinion is what is going on in Terri's case. And it goes on all the time, everywhere, because people buy newspapers, magazines and cable channels that avoid--or COVER UP fraud (or PERPETUATE IT, as in RatherGate). If people go Cold Turkey and cut off the MSM cash flow, canceling subscriptions, shifting advertising revenues away to more objective sources--we'd have better coverage, believe me.
