Neets, it is amazing how some people prefer to accept a distorted truth than to hear the real truth, especially in a situation where death is being forced upon a helpless woman.

I suppose you believe that Necromaniac who said that Terri looked beautiful.

Have you viewed the pictures of Lisa McPherson? She was killed by starvation and dehydration at FLAG. The pictures that were taken for autopsy were rather gruesome. She did not look beautiful in death. Her face showed the agony that she underwent before her death.

Enough of the distortion. Try a little reality. Wake up before it is too late.

"Forensic entomologists identified over a hundred cockroach feeding sites on her body"
That could have caused some bleeding.

Try again.

Verity, did you have a really good look at those photographs? Somehow I doubt that you even glanced at them. Lisa was dehydrated to death and that is what her skin showed in those photographs. Her eyes were sunken and her face had that look of horror on it.

It is true that she was also bitten by cockroaches. I wonder how that happened.

That poor woman was a victim of FLAG in Clearwater. Do you know what that means? Or are you deaf to what it implies?

I have a living will, with a power of attorney and I'm not afraid to die, like some here are. I'm not comfortable warehousing people, like you probably are, based on your fear no doubt.

Are you stating that a severely disabled person, who has a spinal cord injury, should be killed? What precisely do you mean by warehousing? That statement has an ominous ring to it. In fact it is a very chilling statement. To me it sounds like you are advocating that anybody who has a disability that causes them to be bedridden must die.

Verity, she did not die as a result of cockroach bites. Are you really that blind as to what happened at Flag? Do we have to spell it out in words of one syllable?

Lisa McPherson's death was shocking and the autopsy photographs give us an inkling of her suffering as she was dying from starvation and dehydration. It is disgusting to think that she was left in a room full of cockroaches so that she ended up with all of those bites. She did not die as a result of the bites.

Take a good look at the photographs, and especially at the sunken eyes, the look of fear from the torture that she was given. Those photographs serve as a memory of what really happened, but was covered up in Pinellas County, to Lisa McPherson.

It will be interesting to see if the autopsy report mentions any of the effects of this "painless" process of dehydrating a pitiful human being.

I'd love to take these doctors and judges, lock them in a room with no food or water and see how freakin' euphoric they feel after a week.

What I suggest is that they should start with Michael and his concubine. Put them in separate small rooms without windows. Give them a Bible each. If they are taken out for exercise, place a hood on their heads. If they dare look at anyone, let them be punished.

This punishment that I have outlined occurred in the model prison at Port Arthur. It is guaranteed to cause severe mental illness.

I would make one additional change to the punishment given to prisoners at Port Arthur, and that is I would deprive Michael Schiavo of food and water for two weeks, without the benefit of ice chips, or any medication. I would post a law enforcement officer at the door of his room, so that no one is allowed to enter into it. He will not be allowed to have a television, nor will he be allowed to have a radio. His cell can be filled with little trolls.

WHBAtes, you are right, you do not have to be a Christian to see what the behaviours of Michael Schiavo are so wrong. Anyone who has a decent bone in their body is appalled that this has been allowed to happen.

Since I became involved in Terri's case, I have discovered some wonderful people who do not fall into the category of either Catholic or Christian. Yes, some are atheist. What is common amongst this group is that they can see the truth of this case:

Michael Schiavo has pulled off a fast one by achieving the goal of having the judiciary sanction the murder of his wife by the removal of her feeding tube.

For anyone who is interested in pursuing the truth in this matter, there were other attempts to kill Terri, without including the original incident of attempted strangulation. Not only did Michael Schiavo attempt to kill his wife by refusing her to have antibiotics at Sable Palms Nursing Home, he did the same thing when she was at Woodside Hospice. This happened in 2003 and a complaint was placed with DCF by medical staff at Morton Plant Hospital. The DCF whitewashed the incident.

You Americans need to get very active and you need to make sure that this kind of thing is not allowed to continue in the future. Terri was murdered by judicial decree. Those responsible must be brought to justice. This new level of injustice stands as a blot against all decent Americans. You can be Catholic, Baptist, Presbyterian, and other forms of Protestant and you can learn to stand firm in order to combat the culture of death.

Clearwater Florida is a hotbed of murder and intrigue. It is the headquarters of the Scientology organization. Your politicians need to have the guts to close down the cult of Scientology. To have guts means that set aside any of the rants that may come from this death cult, in order to squash it for ever.

Scientology is not a church. It is a cult. It needs to be dealt with from the point of view that it is a cult. If there needs to be education against that form of trash then it must be done.

Scientologists are permeating society at every possible point and they have connections in Government. Since they are a secret organization it remains difficult to find out information about their activity. However, if you are going to assault the culture of death, you must find out everything that there is to find out.

It is time to end the influence of Scientology over the American nation.

No. Since I have a spinal cord injury, I believe I can speak for what I want. I'm living a very productive life and if I didn't want to be here, I would "end it" myself. All I require is a wheelchair for mobility, and I'm totally independent. In my opinion, Terry was being warehoused.

Please don't include me in your hysterical arguments devoid of reason. I deal with reason and logic, not hysterical emotional fairy tales..that's what liberals do.

Michael Schiavo has pulled off a fast one

IMO it is the insurance, managed care, hospice, euthanasia forces that pulled this off. They used Schiavo for their own, much larger, purposes.

If, in your opinion Terri was being warehoused, why did you not speak up and let people know that what was happening was just so very wrong.

Thanks for explaining that you also have a spinal cord injury. It is people like yourself who need to speak up at this point in time, and let people hear about how you deal with life's difficulties.

I do have an injury that has put me into a wheelchair, but I have had an injury that has caused me intermittent pain over a period of years.

I maintain that what MS did to Terri Schiavo was the most reprehensible action. I am not alone with how I feel about this case. There are people on both sides of the political and religious spectrum who feel exactly the same.

If anyone believes that Terri did not feel the pain of her starvation then they are just so very, very wrong.

This morning my sister lost her battle with bone cancer. She was just 52 years old. Do I care? YES. You see her cancer was not discovered until she reached the point of not being able to eat. Over the weeks of her illness she was in such pain and I am glad I was not there to see my sister suffer so much.

I can only imagine how much worse it was for Terri when she was being starved and dehydrated to death. The level of pain of that process must have been really horrendous. To hear George Felos claim that she looked "peaceful" goes beyond what is decent. It is an indication that George needs to be certified and placed in a mental institution because he has an unhealthy preoccupation with death. There is a term for his form of mental illness: necromania.

What you might not know is that George's mother was instrumental in her husband's death. He had cancer. I wonder if his death was ever fully investigated, and why is it that Mrs Felos (snr) did not face charges over the death of her husband.

This case has added up to a lawyer who has the signs of being mentally unstable, plus a husband (Michael Schiavo) who also displays signs of being mentally unstable being given full permission to carry out a state permitted murder in the name of bringing about general euthanasia.

No one had the right to speak for Terri Schiavo. No one had the right to make the false claims about her wishes. As a Catholic, and a faithful one at that, Terri would not have made those comments. I believe that Michael Schiavo is not only a wife abusing murderer, but that he is a pathological liar and a real danger to society.

"How Christian of you to call for revenge and judgement. Was that part of Jesus's sermon on the mount?"

It is obvious to me that you do not understand the true teachings of Jesus Christ. He taught about justice for those who are not able to help themselves. In other words, Jesus spoke up for the disabled who are just like Terri.

What you are saying is totally false when it comes to the message of the gospels. It is false because it was never stated that someone who had committed a felony should be left within the community and go unpunished. Look at what happened to Ananias and Sapphira when they lied about what they had received when they sold their property. They were condemned immediately to death for their lying to the Holy Spirit.

The Scripture does not say that there should be no punishment for the wicked. If you read the Book of Isaiah you will see that the prophet Isaiah spoke out against the very injustices that were perpetrated against Terri Schindler. If you read the story of Esther, you will see that there was also an element of injustice and that the man who had attempted the pogom against the Jews was in turn punished by the same means that he sought for the death of the Jews.

The Sermon on the Mount is concerned with the BE ATTITUDES of life. It is a prescription for living our lives to a very high standard. Seeking punishment for someone who has stolen the life of a disabled person is not against the principles of the Sermon of the Mount.

"You are a certifiable dingbat!"

I am not sure if you are aware of the saying that the first sign of mental illness is talking to yourself. Careful about responding, because that is the second sign.

In other words, it would seem that there is a minor problem here of a certain Verity talking to herself.

Like I said, Verity, the photos of Lisa McPherson tell a very ugly story about what happens when a person is dehydrated and starved to death. I have been reading up some of the information about what allegedly happened to Lisa. It is not a pretty story. She was being held captive at the FLAG and she tried to escape. She was followed, so she attempted to get attention by stripping naked. She was forced to return to the FLAG where she was locked in a room for what is known as introspective run down. Lisa was told she had a tone scale of 1.5 and anyone who has read anything about the kooky ideas of Hubbard knows that such a low reading almost automatically means that the person is "dead" in terms of Scientology.

The material that I have been reading on her case indicated that those who were keeping guard of Lisa were not allowed to talk to her at all. There was some concern about her condition but nothing was done to prevent her death.

We need to disabuse ourselves of any notion that starvation and dehydration of a person who is NOT TERMINALLY ILL is something that causes the person to look serene.

I know from experience, because my sister became seriously ill from not being able to eat, that starvation heightens the pain of cancer. I know that it is necessary to help a person who is terminally ill with the administration of morphine, to assist in the final days of life. My sister was administered with this form of medication. Her death was natural and was not hurried because of her condition.

On the other hand what happened to Terri was completely unnatural because she was NOT terminally ill.

"Contrary to predictions that Terri Schiavo's starvation death would be painless and dignified, an eyewitness who visited her hospice room early Saturday morning reports that she is now bleeding from the eyes and mouth."

This is the statement I originally challenged. Then some fool introduced the McPherson photos which were irrelevant. Then you jump in making the McPherson photos an issue because you despise Scientology which, parenthetically I consider to be a hoax religion.

If you wish to discuss the veracity of the bleeding eyes statement, we can continue. Conversely, if you want to rant about something else, do not bother.

"To the pro-death people: ARE YOU SATISFIED AT LONG LAST?!?"

These people would never admit to being wrong about anything, in fact, they would deny any of this were true.
