Hours after a judge ordered that Terri Schiavo was not to be removed from her hospice, a team of state agents were en route to seize her and have her feeding tube reinserted -- but they stopped short when local police told them they would enforce the judge's order, The Herald has learned.
Agents of the Florida Department of Law Enforcement told police in Pinellas Park, the small town where Schiavo lies at Hospice Woodside, on Thursday that they were on the way to take her to a hospital to resume her feeding.
For a brief period, local police, who have officers at the hospice to keep protesters out, prepared for what sources called ``a showdown.''
In the end, the squad from the FDLE and the Department of Children & Families backed down, apparently concerned about confronting local police outside the hospice.
''We told them that unless they had the judge with them when they came, they were not going to get in,'' said a source with the local police.
''The FDLE called to say they were en route to the scene,'' said an official with the city police who requested anonymity. ``When the sheriff's department and our department told them they could not enforce their order, they backed off.''
The incident, known only to a few and related to The Herald by three different sources involved in Thursday's events, underscores the intense emotion and murky legal terrain that the Schiavo case has created. It also shows that agencies answering directly to Gov. Jeb Bush had planned to use a wrinkle in Florida law that would have allowed them to legally get around the judge's order. The exception in the law allows public agencies to freeze a judge's order whenever an agency appeals it.

It is not a good thing to get in the Heavenly Father's way. The Heavenly Father is in control and not you or anybody else is going to get in HIS way. We are told to arm for a spiritual war not one of flesh and blood.
Annanias and Saphire died in their flesh and blood; the money changers in the temple saw Christ push over their tables in their flesh and blood; Peter refused to obey the council in his flesh and blood.
Sometimes being in our Father in Heaven's will means ACTING, and not being a spiritual slug, like Jeb Bush, with a new justification for sloth.

Question for you Dave ~ what act of violence did Randall Terry commit?
I've been watching the news pretty closely but I seemed to have missed that one.

What do you mean "too many"? I'd always thought that it was just the "right amount"! Undoubtedly there those who disagree with us both and feel there are "not enough".
Remember, Baptists claim the very same Apostolic origins as do the Catholics ~ (a claim which is usually rejected by ALL Catholics).
This is not a debate over theology, and if religion enters into it at all it has to do with the way these churches are operated. For the moment Catholics excommunicate and Baptists don't. However, Judge Greer seems to have been kicked out of his own church where he was a deacon (same's a priest in Catholic parlance).
Guy can't even go to the grocery store by himself anymore either. He's totally dependent on the mercy of others to get food.

I pray that Jesus will visit His wrath upon them and visit a curse upon them for the next ten generations.
Be careful. Jesus may turn your ugly prayer back on you.

Or you, if you stand with these killers and get in the way of prophetic calls to repentence, you child of the evil one.

So do you think it was God's will that over 6 Million Jews were to be killed by the Nazis?Let's not forget the hundreds of thousands of disabled people who were killed.

wow.......you really get upset.......I was being sarcastic obviously with my Noah and the Flood remark as I later alluded to......I hope the night brought you some peace.....*wink*

you child of the evil one.
LOL! I'm the child of "the evil one" because you prayed for evil to be visited on ten generations of the descendants of law enforcement officers!! And you've deduced that I'm evil from one post! Seek mental help, oh, Sanctimonious One. At least talk it over with your pastor-- if you haven't been booted from the congregation.

He prayed for RIGHTEOUSNESS to be inflicted on 10 generations.
There's a difference you misbegotten spawn of the Devil.
Keep the terms straight or the grammar guardians and spelling nannies will abuse you until the end of time!

Who do you worship, God, or the "law enforcement officers" making sure Terri will die a slow and painful death? Don't you see it, or are you blind? Every single one of those officers will have children who will have to remember that their father helped starve an innocent woman. They are calling down on the curse on their own heads. If you make it easier for them to starve Terri, by denigrating those calling them to repentance, your kids will be able to say, "It depresses me; mom stood with the killers."

Jeb has badly misjudged and misplayed this. And he was just playing, as was Washington with that fake law.
Well, now everyone who put up and THEN shut up is riding a tiger, hiding at home praying for this to 'blow over'. But it won't.

Even if your own eyes said it was blue too?

She had therapy for years and didnt improve. If you think a little theraphy would have had hear speaking by 3/28 then you really do believe in miracles.I understand your point...but when Terri's so-called husband got his money 10 years ago, he completely had all therapy stopped because he had to pay for it. He got a nurse fired for trying to feed her jello and for putting something in her hand to squeeze. If you look at her ealier pictures when she was in therapy....she looked good and was making progress.

You can't figure out the difference between someone choosing to end their own life, and a court ordering their death in the absence of any proof of such a choice having been made, so you accuse me of evading a point. You make me laugh.

I can't tell where you're coming from in this, but here's what farmer18 prays for;
pray that Jesus will visit His wrath upon them and visit a curse upon them for the next ten generations.
Apparently farmer18 is lost in the Old Testament. Jesus was into forgiving not visitng wrath, particularly on unborn generations. Farmer18 is an ugly soul if he's sincere. He needs to pray for himself-- and see if he can get someone else to pray for him as well.
