Federal authorities are investigating Dr. Cyril H. Wecht's activities as Allegheny County coroner, Wecht's attorney said yesterday.
"It's an inquiry into Dr. Wecht's activities and endeavors as the coroner and his professional activities as a leading forensic pathologist in America," said attorney David Armstrong.
Officials with the U.S. attorney's office and FBI would not comment last night.

There aren't even any challengers. This creep has been scamming everyone for 30+ years with his "most noted pathologist" bull crap. I don't recall him ever pulling a CSI moment. He just promotes himself and has made lots of cash doing it.
I always like the guy.
I'm not sure that we are allowed, but I agree.
Don't get me wrong. I've always thought that he was a crook, but I liked him a coroner and thought that he know what he was doing. He didn't have a problem bucking the party on the Kennedy, Foster, and Ron Brown assassinations.
