PINELLAS PARK, Florida (CNN) -- The father of Terri Schiavo, the severely brain-damaged woman whose feeding tube was removed a week ago, said Friday his daughter is "down to her last hours."
Bob Schindler, Schiavo's father, said, "Terri is weakening. ... Something has to be done, and has to be done quick."
Schindler said the family's hopes lie with the 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Atlanta, Georgia, which is hearing -- for the second time this week -- an appeal claiming Schiavo's due process rights have been violated.
Schiavo is in her seventh day without food or water since Pinellas County Circuit Judge George Greer ordered the tube removed for the third time.
The case is again in the federal appeals court, where a three-judge panel will rule on the motion filed by attorneys for Schiavo's parents.

19 different judges and 16 different courts all agreed to carry out her HUSBAND'S wish. Why don't you do her HIM a favor and butt out of her HIS life.

Our country has become the playground of a bunch of sadistic psychopathic serial killers in black robes. Absolute power has corrupted absolutely.

i believe jeb bush has been severely damaged.
letting a county judge called in the county sheriffs to surround the hospice was a direct shot at Jeb Bush.
he did not respond . the Justice dept should have been called in to protect her religious rights and right to life stated in the us constitution.

LOL! I've got to go to Jekyll Island for a conference in May. I'll keep an eye out for old men in a group. No telling who they might be.

It's not that death is the "default." It's that the person with the legal authority to choose, has chosen death. Because Terri didn't specify otherwise, her despicable husband's calling the shots.

The amount of ignorance and hate in this thread is appalling. Comparing 100% consistent judicial decisions (that, by the way, have been upheald on by some very conservative judges) to Nazism and genocide is obsurd.

Uh...I don't think that's it. He's expanding on the silliness of another Freeper's post, which tied all this to the transit of Venus or some other such foolishness.
That's the soul of satire, you see. He's not being funny; he's being satirical, and there's a lot to be satirical about these past few days.

Heah, Jeb! Heah, George! The gentleman's "C" thing was okay at Yale, but now you have to do something! Think for yourselves, boys! Send the lawyers and the handlers out of the room and talk to God.
Listen to what He says.

Before this case became a national issue, no person in their 20s, or even their 30s and 40s, could have seriously been expected to have made a living will.

It's become an exceedingly dangerous place to end up in the hospital if you haven't a family that's willing to watch the doctors like a hawk and question every single move they make. What on Earth are you talking about? What does any of this have to do with doctors?
