PINELLAS PARK, Florida (CNN) -- The father of Terri Schiavo, the severely brain-damaged woman whose feeding tube was removed a week ago, said Friday his daughter is "down to her last hours."
Bob Schindler, Schiavo's father, said, "Terri is weakening. ... Something has to be done, and has to be done quick."
Schindler said the family's hopes lie with the 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Atlanta, Georgia, which is hearing -- for the second time this week -- an appeal claiming Schiavo's due process rights have been violated.
Schiavo is in her seventh day without food or water since Pinellas County Circuit Judge George Greer ordered the tube removed for the third time.
The case is again in the federal appeals court, where a three-judge panel will rule on the motion filed by attorneys for Schiavo's parents.

That's my point, we would not execute somebody unless they were found guilty "beyond all reasonable doubt."
Why would not this standard be applied in this case? Should there be "no reasonable doubt" that removing the tube was Terri's wish? It would seem to me, that there is enough to suggest that there is indeed reasonable doubt as to Terri's wishes.
The law is an ass. A-S-S, deal with it.
Don't compare my country to nazis.
If I don't speak out when they come for the disabled, then there will be no one to speak out for me when they come for me.
I don't know about a culture of death. We have long lives in this country, a medical care system devoted to keeping that so, we spend more money on health than any other country, we save low birth babies by the thousands, we have emergency services to whisk us to trauma centers when we get in car wrecks, our cars are being turned into fortified things what with all the air curtains and bags and such, we are insane over making everything without chemicals, we ban smokers around us for fear, we all take vaccinations, we have old people living into their 90's because of modern medicine.
I would say we are a culture oflife with a few crackpots in between. To damn this country and this culture over what is looking to me like a deadly family feud via the justice system and one bad judge, is foolish.
All the "leaders" in Germany agreed to carry out their murders too
Nah, that is the Golden Age of rock. Always will be, the young people don't know how to rock anymore. Just ask Grace Slick.
At least he and the pope will get a normal catholic burial; all the stops will be pulled out. What will Terri get?
May they all be blessed and it ain't over until it's over.
That's what happens when you've taken too many stimulants. Psychosis.
"Good God, FR is becoming worse that DU"
The Terri threads have brought out various ugly sides, that's for sure.
There is a distinct and disgusting "blame the victim" mentality permeating the whole issue. Horror of horrors, Terri Schiavo, a beautiful 26 year old woman, didn't write down somewhere what most reasonable thinking people would consider obvious: Feed Me! So it's all her own fault that she's being starved.
He has a gut feeling. That's enough. It's only a shell of a life on the line, what does he care?
And don't you dare say anything bad about his country, because he's a patriot willing to defend it to the death.
Not his own death, mind you. But to the death all the same.
Yes, as the law continues to evolve on these matters, hearsay is in fact permitted. And all the more reason for the basis of the judge's findings to be challenged.
Everything after the fact is merely window dressing. The judicial de novo review has not taken place at all since the feds realized it would necessitate the Terri being fed again.
Rather than impose that stay and a complete review, they chose to affirm the procedure of the state condemning the poor woman to death.
THAT my friends is very, very dangerous.
Yes sir, Judge Greer.
Janis Joplin was a genius, I listened to some of her this morning for the first time in a long time,,she is so magnificent. Ashamed she is dead.
That's for sure. They were amateurs.
I have this really long post of this sort of material I can repost as a thread someday. I collected it from this one really weird cat named Kansan1225 a lonnnnnng time ago, on Usenet. It's wild stuff. :o)
Are you saying I am psychotic or Laz is?
