Why? I'm an RN, too. I haven't worked in the US in 19 years, but when I did, I saw some very suspicious deaths. I didn't like working on the patient floors because you couldn't question doctor's orders without coming under suspicion yourself. I preferred the ER and OR, as it was a lot easier to say that professional care was given to the best of their ability. I saw a lot of doctors cry when they lost a patient in the ER or OR. On the floor, when you needed to question an order, it was nearly impossible to reach them until it was too late. I was uncomfortable with some doctor's orders way back then, before euthenasia was talked about much. This comes as no surprise. I was shocked when 2 years after I graduated nursing school, abortion became legal, and about 50% of nurses raced to embrace it. It was the beginnning of the slippery slope to perdition then. Where are we now? About due for a judgment, if you ask me.
