My question: Since I'm not Catholic and not familiar with the rituals of last rites, is there any way they could give her these last rites without using the host?

Usually it is an annointing on the forehead with chrism oil while the Priest prays over her.

Thank you for this information. A later post after mine said she was given last rites before her tube was removed. It seems now all that's left is spiritual support for Terri and the Shindlers.
