My apologies to all for not having responded to the numerous pings I received today - it has been a truly weird day.

But it got even weirder late this afternoon with a piece of news we received from a friend.

It seems there was a shooting at one of the poultry processing plants last night and now the victim has died. From what I know it was her (possibly) past boyfriend who was released from prison a couple weeks ago who vowed to kill her and her family.

I can find absolutely no information online about this and local media in this area is ZIP.

I'm looking for ideas of further online searches for further information ........ the woman who was killed is the the mother of a clasmate and schoolbus seat mate of my 6 year old daughter.........the poultry plant is only 5 miles from my house. The guy took off after this yesterday and as of 6pm tonight has not been seen since.

Any ideas of other means of searches would be greatly appreciated.

I'll deal with how to deal with my daughter when she finds out later on.
