Euthanasia is illegal in every state in America. Yet

Saw today's news--
Randal T., etal put up a great argument this afternoon. They were forceful in speech holding The House of Rep.'s feet to the fire. I think all the Politico's are hoping she dies so that they won't have to deal with the mess. It is a Big Mess. The longer she lives The Bigger the Mess will become. The Hospice might just try to kill her off sooner congress might reward that kind of patronage.
Randal T., etal are going to Washington to force them to honor their court order (to protect her as a witness to violations of her civil rights) that they all voted on and approved. She is to appear tomorrow.
What do you think will they do? I think they will extend the dead line in hopes that she dies?
Sadly I have a feeling that MS and felos will ensure that she is not alive for the hearing.
Sure, why not? Isn't that the game plan? Hearings are delayed all the time. Or they can take a long coffee break so it doesn't start on time. Or better yet, up that morphine drip so it'll all be over with before tomorrow morning and then no worries.
The Congress? Nothing.
I wonder if we shouldn't have been more PR-wise about this. Instead of politicians, maybe we should have implored celebrities to intervene. Write to everyone, lay out the facts and ask them to go to Pinellas Park with a bottle of water and get arrested.
I wrote to Jeb, maybe I should have written to Barbara and Jenna and the other young ones. To Sally Struthers who does advertisements for charities, talking about starving children. To Madonna who's Catholic. To Pat Boone. To Annette Funicello (who gets a complete pass, being disabled herself!) To actors who are Catholic, actors who have Down's Syndrome, singers who hawk inspirational music at 3am on cable channels. And the legislators too, I wonder if we should have asked them individually, would you just go there with water and let that be your vote, made visible?
We who know what's right, we just don't think we have to package it prettily and market it cleverly.
