I've been asking myself all day if God would want us to try to change things in this world. We are not supposed to be of this world. We already know what the ending of the story is. I've been praying and asking God for guidance. Not sure if I should be trying to change the government anymore. Perhaps we should focus on just loving others and discipling. I just don't know anymore. The "normal" things I used to do every day just seem so trivial now.

Personally I've had to hide in the trivial... close my eyes to the reality just for a bit.. take respite in the benign... I think when she goes it's gonna be like with my parents.. even though I KNEW they were dying.. I couldn't make myself believe it.. especially when my mother was sick.. if I had been more grounded, I would have done many things differently during her illness.. sorry. didn't mean to talk about myself again..

I agree. Some things seem so trivial.. Every time I eat, I think of Terri.

I think this has changed many of us in very profound ways. I do thank God for that.
