Boy have I.. I had to bury my face in my husband's coat and sob my eyes out for a lot of it.. went to bed for the rest of the day with a headache.. something about seeing a portrayal of your absolute Best Friend Beloved beat up, torn up, and murdered that tends to send me over the top.
and even though they didn't show it.. THANK GOD IT HAD A HAPPY ENDING!

The reason I'm asking is because my husband wants to watch it tomorrow, so he borrowed it. My 11 year old daughter wants to see it and I tried to explain to him how it affected me.

My son and I went to see it when it was at the movies. We live right down the street from the theatre and it was a REALLY hot day out, so my son and I walked. I carried a leather jacket because it's cold in the theatre. I cried so much and was horrified to the point that I got sick. When we left I was shaking, my head was pounding, my eyes were nearly swelled shut from crying, my chest hurt and my heart was pounding so hard I could hear it inside my head, I was wearing a leather coat and still freezing and it was 80 outside. My son put his arm around me and asked me if I needed him to carry me or if I wanted him to call dad to come get us. He said I was as white as a sheet.

Do you know if anyone else has ever let a child watch it?
