Dear dear knitting. I would never crucify you . You are a marvelous addition to this list. I do however dissagree because I feel that Greer is in contempt of congress. With President Bush upholding the law of the Constitution and congress holding GREER in contempt, they would in fact, not be violating the law. They would be going BY THE LAW. This way, it is a flagrant disregard for the law and letting Greer win. This is just the way I see it.

I respect you fully for your view. I have a feeling that this is going to be one of the issues we will all have to grapple with as we face the next few months and sort out all the details. In the meantime, we still can enjoy our tea time together!*Grin*

(_)> (_)> I love you.

I do think Greer is in contempt of congress myself, although it would have to go to court to get the supoenas enforced, and there is some concept that they might be on technically shaky ground that would cause yet another constitutional crisis...

What happens if a court rules that the only reason the congress issued the supoenas was to interfere with the legal actions of a court on a valid court matter?

So much potential mess!

I suspect Congress will drop the subject, because of the issues...but it would do my heart happy if they got Greer, MS and Felos on contempt charges. I don't think we are yet at that point.

But think about how the Alamo became a rallying point. The fort was lost, the defenders died, but it became a rallying point for the Texas War of Independence. Or the evacuation of the British soldiers at Dunkirk became a powerful image for the Allies in WWII.

This is not the end of the fight. The fight for life will always have Terri's smile to give it a real face.
