And for that, we need to work with the GOP, because no other party has enough people or chance to do something about the judiciary. If we withdraw, the dark one wins. Florida Republicans need to get a simple message:
- People know about Pinellas County corruption. It is getting to be well-enough known that plausible deniability will soon be untenable.
- If the public seems statewide Republicans going after Pinellas County crooks, even those who call themselves "Republicans", people will see that Republicans value integrity over party. Any votes the GOP loses in Pinellas County will be more than made up for elsewhere.
- If the public sees statewide Republicans defending clear and obvious corruption, they will perceive that Republicans are nothing but crooks, and it will barely be possible for a Republican to get elected dog catcher in the sate.
Florida Republicans shoot look to see what happens when the party refuses to deal with corruption in its midst.
