I would love to agree with you, but I keep seeing the Florida Statue that gives the executive branch the power to step in and protect an adult who is danger as the result of the action/inaction of others, including bastardly, two-timing, unfaithful husbands who have been appointed guardian. I might be able to overlook his lack of action when the chips are down if he hadn't held that news conference and blustered about his authority, only to have one of the lowest ranking judges in the State he administers back him down. The statue says NOTHING about prior judicial approval for saving a person.

Be careful saying stuff like that - - there's plenty of people around here today who swear there's nothing Jeb can do except look anguished, hold his palms up, and shrug his shoulders.

I see what you are saying and it would have been best if he had not blustered about it. Technically he probably could make a case for seizing Terri but without judicial or legislative backing he comes off as a lone dictator in the wilderness. It was up to the Fl Senate to act to over rule the judge and they did not. They are the villians, not Jeb. He has been great.
