Does anyone know where Michael Schiavo has been these last few days?

High-fiving Scot Peterson perhaps?

She is not going to die because she has no one who loves her or because no one will care for her. Terri Schiavo is going to die because a judge from Florida’s 6th Circuit Court ordered that she not be fed. Any other contention is false....There will be those who say that Judge George Greer’s ruling is simply a realization of Terri’s wishes; that she didn’t want to be kept alive by artificial means in the event of something catastrophic.

Judge Greer has not only ordered that her feeding tube be withdrawn (the so called "artificial" support) he has also denied a request by her parents that she be given water and food by mouth. This order is clearly illegal. No judge or guardian has the power to deny a person nourishment by natural means and it does not take an attorney to figure this out. I defy anyone to find legal authorization, even in Florida law, for this order.

As is stated in another thread on an article by a doctor (William Anderson) in the Weekly Standard titled "Terri's Last Chance" there is no medical, legal or moral reason to not attempt a trial of natural drinking. He argues all the outcomes of such a trial, even if it results in a quicker death, are better than refusing to allow her to attempt to take food and water on her own. Only Greer's order stops this and such an order is not within the power of a court to make.

Jeb and George Bush should blast Judge Greer out of the water on this illegal order and immediately give her water by mouth. He is only getting away with this order by default because there has been so much focus on the feeding tube. We don't know if Terri could accept enough nutrition to stay alive but every human being has the right to try to take a drink of water! If it works, this could allow time to dismiss Greer for violating her human rights by his order and overturn the guardian decision.

Thank you for that timeline. I may need it for another board to which I post.

Last night, A&E ran a 1-hour 'documentary' on Terri's case. Not one word EVER on the money to Michael or on how he has 'gone on with his life'. Not one word.

Michael Schiavo will cremate his “wife,” Terri, immediately after her death

Ah yes, best way to insure that no post-mortem examinations, MRI's, etc. might reveal that her brain was more than just a "bag of water".

Subject: Shiavo review of guardianship

Governor Jeb Bush, jeb.bush@myflorida.com

Friday, March 25, 2005

The court, in 1997 when Michael announced he was'engaged' should have immediately conducted a guardianship hearing and transfered Terri to State guardianship. Because of this failure, we are in the present situation.

Questions you might consider:

(1) Why did Michael choose to 'ignore' her wishes for nearly 7 years until 1997 when he announced he was'engaged' to Jodi Centonze and 'suddenly' remembered the conversation about life support with Terri from years before?

Michael Schiavo answer would probably rationalize that it took that long before he realized there was 'no hope for recovery...'

(2) However, the 1992 malpractice suit for $20 million was based on the premise/conclusion that Terri would NOT recover and she would require constant medical care for the remainder of her life estimated by Michael Shiavo and his laywers to be 51 years(which is the normal life expectancey)...Where were her WISHES at that time?

(3) The court, in 1997 when Michael announced he was'engaged' should have immediately conducted a guardianship hearing and transfered Terri to State guardianship, at a minimum because of the obvious conflict of interest on the part of Michael Shiavo.

The court system failed to act at that point, and that is a major factor on why we are at the point we are today.

Guardianship, by law and practice, is determined to be given to that person who is most heavily 'biased' in favor of the disabled person. Under most conditions this would be the spouse. However, most prudent courts, if during the guardianship period, the appointed guardian by circumstances or accident tilts the 'bias' away from the interest of the person so guarded, would conduct and immediate review, and at a minimum, transfer guardianship to the appropriate State agency.

hope this is useful

All of you have laid out very upsetting and devastating information which has not been investigated.

I, like you. was surprised to learn that this has been going on for 15 years. It seems that Jeb Bush and the Florida authorities have been doing what they could all along as this is the third time the tube has been removed. Lots of information coming out now that wasn't known before. It is a pity the courts seem indifferent to it.

According to his concerns, they will fear to invest in an environment where these lawyers and judges have the last word over the President and the Congress.

I went to bed shortly after Cavuto came on and didn't see that part. However, that is an interesting take. Listening to the MSM, which I don't but I see the results on FR and the FNC shows, you would think that the whole world supported what these judges are doing. Having leftist judges gives the left the power the people refuse to give them.

This drips with the same evil which crucified Christ..The Scribes and the Pharisees, the lawyers and the judges. The 30 pieces of silver are at work here, as well.

Excellent comparison.

Terri is symbolic of perhaps the greatest sin in our nation, the holocaust of abortion, which has grown to include the disabled,

Yes, it is part of the move by the left to destroy this country and then take it over. A necessary part of laying the groundwork is to minimize the value of life, which has always been held as sacred in this country. Once life is devalued, many things are possible, things which lead to total control. The elderly are the next group to be included.

Those who crucified Christ feared him because he was loved by the innocents who did not have the power of the elites. Yes, I think it is very interesting that this awful event is occurring on Easter weekend.

Another thing I had not thought of. Many have seen the current world events as similar to the Biblical description of the end times. The Islamic extremists certainly allow us to draw a clear line between good and evil and Christ and his followers versus the Anti-Christ. Here at home, the Democrats/liberals have declared war on Christianity in all public places and are celebrating the Anti-Christ in the form of Islam, homosexuality, teen pregnancies, abortion, this Terri Shiavo case, etc. The idea is to turn our moral world upside down and leave the people confused and feeling helpless. The timidity of the executive and legislative branches to take aggressive action to back up their decisions in the face of judicial tyranny certainly adds to that.

However, the Anti-Christ, as powerful as he is, underestimates the power of the people in Christ. This happening on Easter weekend is indeed interesting.
