First let me say Welcome To Free Republic!  I hope that you will visit frequently and participate as much as you like.  We have MANY British FReepers here and "most" of them seem to put up with us Yanks pretty well, despite our occasional language and culinary differences  :-)

Although I'm delighted that you've found this old thread, I'm saddened because it's apparently because this thug "family" has moved to your area.  May I extend my greatest sympathies to you and I hope that they will cause you no trouble.....Rainhill does indeed sound like a very nice area, and as such it doesn't deserve to be soiled by trash like these people.

Rainhill is now mainly a commuter town, and is seen a wealthy middle class suburb of Merseyside. Property prices have doubled in recent years making the area even more exclusive. Rainhill enjoys a good community spirit, which adds to the excellent quality of life in the area. It is also home to Rainhill Town AFC.

Rainhill is also the home of popular rugby player Jenny Welsby.

Rainhill Ex-Services Club on Warrington Road was founded in 1946 to provide services to ex-service men and women in the Rainhill area. Nowadays, the Club still offers these services but also opens it's doors to the wider Rainhill and surrounding communities.
