I hate to tell you this, but if she dies there in his state, Jeb's political future is in real trouble. Don't forget who is at the core of his political base: evangelical Christians, and they're not going to like the results of this even if Jeb made a solid effort to help Terri. Remember this, and as a stock market trader I know this is true: In many people, emotion is more powerful than logic and emotion is going to work against Jeb if Terri starves to death in his state.
But I just read a poll indicating that the majority of Evangelicals favor death over life. Can this possibly be true?
I agree with you. People are already asking how Janet Reno's Justice Dept. could have stormed into Elian Gonzales' "safe house" in Miami, seized the child and sent him back to (effectively) Castro..........but the Governor of Florida can't send Florida State Troopers into the hospice to save Terri Schaivo's life!
The perception is that there is still a little time, and that Jeb Bush still has options.........if he would only have the courage to use them. That's the perception. I don't know if it is the reality of Jeb's dilemma or not.
I knew this three ring circus was going to set back the pro-life movement for years and here is the proof!
Jeb has done everything legally possible for Terri and this will be the thanks he and the repub party will receive for their troubles??
Boy thats loyalty for ya, eh?
If this is the case the repub's might as well disown the pro-life movement and cut them loose!
See how much the Rat party will do for ya folks!
Even worse, is that the Dems will turn it around against him.
