One of the more revolting contemporary English politicians is London's Mayor Ken Livingstone. He has just accused Israel — Israel, if you please — of "ethnic cleansing" and has described Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon as "a war criminal who should be in prison." His remarks came after vicious anti-Semitic attacks in England increased 42 percent last year over the previous year, according to the Simon Wiesenthal Center. During a recent press conference, Mr, Livingstone compared a Jewish reporter to a concentration camp guard.

Bad news is that he is in for another four years. Had he spoken so badly before the election the balance may have been tipped against him.
He only got in this time because the extreme left wing transport Unions voted for him.

Because I'd like to think the majority in Merrie Olde have more sense...they know what Red Ken stands for.
You msut first understand the whole Mayoral election to understand why Ken won. His only opposition was the Conservative Steve Norris whose record as director of Railway Company that is currently facing corporate mansluaghter charges for negligence meant he lost votes.
Add to that the support of Muslims and Militant Left Wing unions for Ken and you get a bad situation. It should be pointed out that the UK has elected far mroe Conservative Governments than Socialists ones.
Hopefully by May we wil once again have a Conservative Government.

i don't see what the big deal is. first, you don't like what someone says don't listen. second, read the torah. in it you will find a number of statements to the effect that if you aren't jewish, you aren't human. sounds like the nazis to me.....
