What hangs in my window are curtains; they may drape, but they are not drapes.

But are they draperies?

Ohh, and the word quote is a verb AND a noun. Look it up if you don't believe me ;-)

"Quote" is a verb that sloppy writers have used as a noun for an unfortunately long time, and I see no end to it. That doesn't mean that purists must bow to it.

I reject the usage.

You can put "ain't" and such in the dictionary. Doesn't mean I'll recognize it.

Stinking liberal dictionary, anyway. Is it in the original Webster's?
