"execution of a convict..."
I thought Mexico was proud of the fact that unlike the "barbaric" Americans, it had banned the death penalty?

"It's not every day that you face enemy fire from the other side of the border." No, but it's getting there awfully fast.

The Mexicans routinely hunt down and slaughter Guatamalans, Costa Ricans, etc...who cross their southern border. They don't want people from other countries to cross our border and take jobs away from them.

The part about the execution of the convicted drug trafficker by, "gunmen", wasn't the government executing him, it was probably payback for something done, or something he snitched about.
The riot afterward was to cover up who the gunmen were. You notice it doesn't say anything about apprehension.
The running gun battle at the border was between drug bangers and the government.
They seem to have just about the same number of drug bangers and police/soldiers almost every time there's a fight.
Mexico is corrupt from the bottom to the top. Stop illegal immigration NOW.

President Bush told Mexican President Vicente Fox on Wednesday that he would keep pushing for more lenient immigration laws ... "You've got my pledge - I'll continue working on it," Bush told Fox during a joint news conference here at Baylor University. ... "I'm against vigilantes," Bush said. "That's why you got a border patrol, and they ought to be in charge of enforcing the border."

I was down on the border a few weeks ago. No way I'd cross over into Mexico. There have been a lot of kidnappings and murders of Americans that are not hitting the media.
FOX has has no control of his country. Like Castro, he'd like to CONTINUE to send all the scum across the border and it looks like Bush* might be willing to help him.
* I've always been a big George Bush supporter. But on immigration he has not done his job. Plus, as we see from the fact that he cannot do anything to stop a woman from being killed in Florida, contrary to what some believe the president of the US is not the most powerful man in the world. Sometimes he's less powerful than some pissant judge.

"gunmen inside a state prison in Nuevo Laredo executed convicted trafficker Omar Ortega, 45, local authorities said. He had been playing tennis when he was shot in the head, said a city official. Additional details were not available."Gunmen inside the prison, 'convicted (drug) trafficker' playing tennis... now there is a justice system to be proud of!
