"Santorum said that who is on the federal courts does matter, as in Terri's case. But as I understand it, some Republican judges in Atlanta voted against Terri too. It was a 10-2 vote against her. The federal courts have snubbed Congress, which is impotent here."
I think it is a good sign that the judhe agreed to reconsider, he didn't have to. I think over the last few days (remember it was the 18th when he denied us the first time) alot has come out in the media as to the questionable credibility of Michael Schiavo...and maybe now we will have a better chance...remember this court can grant a new trial w/ a jury....with a jury we will win and then the Schindlers can go for a civil wrongful death suit and get some of Terri's $$$ back. The main thing today is that we get the order to put tube back in and then the judge can sort out the case, taking his good sweet time. Maybe this judge hear the POTUS say that it was time for the judicial branch to do their part and maybe this judhe is looking to gain favor...for some reason
There's a reason God sends hurricanes and earthquakes to Florida and California.
I heard something about a vigil the Jax Justice Coalition is having at our downtown fed. court house 6 pm (now!) on the radio a while ago -- will go by there after do an errand.
I can't take this anymore, valletgirl.
All I do is cry. I'm exhausted.
Why must an innocent soul, a child of God die such a horrible and painful death. She doesn't deserve it. She hasn't done anything wrong to anyone.
What's happening to our country?
hi, kenth -- s'okay, and I hope you're having a good time at work!
Agreeing with you Pegita (wonderful prayer).
Lord, hear our prayers. We know you have been in this from beginning to end. See your people praying -- this is what you have told us to do. See your people weeping. See Terri and her parents suffering. Oh, Lord stop the evil people and bless those who have fallen on their faces with tears before you. I pray in Jesus' name...amen.
Amen
I don't know if a boycott would have any effect. It might reduce crowds at places of amusement and make others more willing to travel to FL because of smaller crowds.
As far as FL products, most people don't check to see where goods are made. I know for sure that Tropicana is a big FL company, but what else is based there.
I just joined the list..have been reading here for days...just wanted to say that I and my family are praying as well and I and my oldest daughter called all the numbers you have posted (she's 8 yrs old) and SHE talked to the people. She said..........GIVE TERRI FOOD AND WATER! WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE? WE TREAT OUR DOG BETTER THAN SHE IS !!
Also my 3 oldest kids (8,7 &4) all swore today that they would take care of each other if their dad and I weren't there to do it!
What kind of message is our government sending to our children by letting her die?????
Sorry too emotional right now...can't type anymore.
The good news is, Freepers are great at organising and at activist causes.
It's 6:00. Pray.
welcome to FR and thank you for your prayers and calling. We all need to fix this huge huge judicial tyrannical mess for our children.
Thank you for the eyewitness report. I can't believe in America in 2005 you are being harassed by state-sanctioned jackbooted thugs, carrying out the lawless judicial decrees (is that an oxymoron?) and trampling any and every right that crosses their path. God bless the Schindlers. Apparently He is giving them strength to endure, because I know there is no way I could maintain my composure the way they have been.
They have been stalling us.
It was all a ruse.
It was never in meant to be.
They've been running the clock down on purpose.
They want this issue to go away, and the sooner, the better.
Welcome to FR. Sorry it's under such circumstances but glad you're here.
People are just too busy -- paying taxes, working, commuting, engaging in recreation, rearing families, a high level of stress. They could care less about tragedies around them, reasoning that they could do nothing about them.
Thank you for being on the frontlines. We are praying for all of you.
