The lesson here is: As a matter of law, if you want to kill your wife/husband do it slowly and the Judges will allow it.
(s)Scott peterson must be kicking himself(/s)
You are so right.
Folks, it's time to draw lines in the sand. Not just on this issue but all of the other issues where rogue judges have decided upon themselves that THEY know better and can write law from the bench.
When I vote I expect changes to occur not the same ole crap!! What have we gotten? THE SAME OLE CRAP!!
These assholes better start looking out for the people that put them in office or otherwise they better start looking over their shoulders.
I have drawn my line in the sand, and by God I hope they don't step over MY line.
"Vishnu thinks she's going to be reincarnated anyway :-)"
LOL!! Thanks for the levity in the middle of the worst public nightmare since OJ.
The new talking point in the news, is to refer to Terri's parents as wanting to "keep her body alive".
So she's no longer Terri, but a "body".
Talk about obsession. A woman is being murdered right under our noses and you want to talk about immigration on this thread? You are messed up.
That's what it sounded like to me - although they came up on a hard break and weren't able to allow her to elaborate.
The 'this' is a physically healthy, brain damaged human being who is being slowly starved and dehydrated to death.
She also said Terri isn't comfortable around men (interesting).
Yes - I feel very alienated from the people who agree with this killing. I just can not understand their moral compass. For the people that cast the votes that actually will be responsible for her death (the judges and the Senators) they are no different from a convicted murderer in my book. Murder is murder and they know who they are. How do they sleep at night?
Drop the hammer on them and let the chips fall where they may. Send in the Marshalls. Stand up and put an end to this crap!
What has been especially hard for me to understand in the pro-death freepers. I naively thought that conservative meant pro-life. I've found out this past week all the mutations that conservative means. I hope if I ever get into Terri's situation that there are no conservatives around to 'help me out of my misery'!
This is such a tragedy I can't even tell you. The comments by the judge showed on screen dismissing her testimony was such a cop-out...sort of like "I can't be bothered with this."
I am re-evaluating my association here. I have had several good years here, but I just can't put up with people that not only refuse to recognize gross injustice, they support it. It is just sickening.
For the same reason they won't admit that not feeding her is starvation.
If they told the truth the wrong answer would be obtained.
Firey torment awaits these folks.
It's only a small minority of the Freepers that are pro-death. Just keep in mind who they are when evaluating their future credibility as issues arise.
I'm with you!! Please, no self appointed heroes such as this to defend my rights! I would prefer to be left in my "misery" until the Lord decides it is time for me to join Him!! What I can't figure out is...how do they figure that she is so miserable anyway if she cannot feel anything, as they contend?
