Neurologists see little sign of activity in Schiavo's brain

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - (KRT) - Scans of Terri Schiavo's brain show that the great majority of her gray matter where thinking and feeling occur has died off and been replaced by watery fluid, with no chance of growing back, neurologists said.
About 70 to 90 percent of Schiavo's upper brain is gone, and there's also damage to her lower brain that controls instinctive functions like breathing and swallowing, said three Florida neurologists who viewed 12 of her CT "computed tomography" X-ray scans Tuesday and Wednesday.
"This is as severe brain damage as I've ever seen," said Dr. Leon Prockop, a professor and former chairman of neurology at the University of South Florida College of Medicine in Tampa, upon viewing the scans.

Love to debate these neurologists right now on how a MRI would change clinical outcome...somehow I believe they wouldn't accept.
BTW, just so you know, I have a BS in Biochemistry from UC San Diego (with honors) so I'm well grounded in science. I know what an MRI scan is and how it works. The judiciary is displaying great arrogance in this case and the medical community isn't doing so well either.
Terri has proven herself more intelligent than her enemies.

This is what makes it so tough to understand why the liberals are so anxious to do her in. She has lost enough of her brains to qualify as a democrat.
LOTS, if you've bothered to read the report that was filed with DCF today you'd already know that answer. Like the fact that there is a good chance that Terri is not PVS, but is really in a state of conciousness and has some ability to function. The new MRI would prove that because it shows activity to stimulation even if the person can't show it physically.
Good, then you can debate the issue. What will a MRI show that will prove she isn't in a PVS.....waiting...
And by the way: this is not the issue: she RESPONDS to loving care. But apparently not enough for the black robed deities who call themselves "justices".
If you're not a neurologist you would lose that debate in a slam-dunk defeat. You're not really a physician now are you?
Do you really think the MRI would change any minds? I'm sorry I don't. I think the MRI could show 99% of her upper brain to be totally gone, and it wouldn't change the minds of those who're screaming murder.
Again, what findings on a MRI will show "stimulation"?...waiting...
Would you suggest doing an EEG on Terri to check for area/pattern of brain waves?
Read the new affadavits from her nurses. You got to stay informed if you want to debate us....lol
