Sarah Scantlin was 18 years old when, as a pedestrian, she was injured in a hit-and-run accident that left her in a vegetative condition, aware of her surroundings but unable to speak or move.

Since that time, she has been in a care centre in the Midwest US state of Kansas.

Scantlin´s parents unexpectedly received a phone call last week from the nursing home where their now 38-year-old daughter resides.

However, instead of the call being about Sarah, it was actually from Sarah.

"Hi mum," she said to her mother.

The words were a shock and a joy for Scantlin´s parents.

"There´s just no words," mother Betsy Scantlin told a CBS television news show. "I´ve just laughed ever since because it´s just so amazing."

Why can't Larry King, or any of the other sensationalists in the media that have such an affinity for fawning all over this piece of garbage, simply ask Michael Schiavo what his price is? Everybody has one; he has one, and he needs to set it. He could have his friggin money by close of business, tomorrow, and Terri and her parents could escape this nightmare.

Dr.Sanjay Gupta says if Terri is in the minimally conscious state, her eyes open spontaneously. She must do one of the following: --follow simple commands (to show she can hear and understand) --give yes or no responses

You mean like one of Michael's doctors did when he asked her to open her eyes and was audibly tickled by her response?

I hope this doctor and those he may call in isn't on anyones payroll. I hope he's an independent party that is giving an unbiased examination of Terri and will render an unbiased diagnosis. Please let that be the case. Give him a chance to do a thorough examination. There has been too many doctors on Michael's payroll rendering opinions slanted toward his favor. Continued prayers for her and her family.

Jeb needs to push this - we need to determine who is no power in this country our elected leaders or an unelected judge who craps on the constitution. Jeb please do whats right and let history be the judge - you will go down as a hero if you save her life.
