A state judge issued an emergency order Wednesday to keep the Department of Children & Families from taking any action that would reconnect Terri Schiavos feeding tube. George Felos, the attorney for Michael Schiavo, asked Pinellas Circuit Judge George Greer to issue the order Wednesday while the judge considers a request from DCF and Gov. Bush to take custody of Terri Schiavo.

This may explain the delay.
Vermin.
Yeah but as I feared and was confirmed on Hannity the restraining order on DCF,may trumo the emergency measures. THen the DCF would be in contempt. But i am sure that the restraining order cannot possibly cover every emergency situation possible, like surely Terri just like any other patient would have to be removed if there was a flood or a hurricane destroying the building,or a fire doing the same.
I don't think the restraining order can be a blanket one.
Well .. you'll have to argue with yourself because I totally don't agree with you about what the President can do.
As for Jeb - I believe there is a little more leeway.
How can Greer hold anyone in contempt when they're enforcing Florida law??
I don't believe he has yet. There's a hearing on the petition in the morning, and I believe he will turn it down. Then it's up to the DCF to use emergency powers.
FR blocks it when I try to post just the title and URL, no excerpts.
In contempt of his restraining order.
I don't know if DCF is appealling the order.
I wouls appeal everything make the Rat felos run with his head cut off.
Where in the law does it say the DCF has to wait for Greer's decision?
The purpose of Section 2 (Emergency) of the law appears to be to bypass the courts and save a life.
The courts are brought back into it---after the rescue--- four days later to determine whether or not emergency care is reasonable.
Please, I don't mean to sound ridiculous, I am reaching deep inside my spirituality to find some help for her, and hope for all of us. We know there were miracles, most of us believe they happened. But, just in the past? Perhaps the modern day miracles get "poo-pooed" and ignored, or are small, but they are happening. At this time, with all the world watching, a miracle that helps to save Terri is what I pray for.
"Dear God, in Your infinite mercy, and wise judgement grant that Terri Schiavo be saved from the evil darkness that surrounds her. Bring those into the light who now intend to harm her. Shine brightly upon her, her family, and Your children who so need You to act in her favor. Give Terri the strength to endure, beyond all medical and known comprehension, the trial she is now suffering. Bring a miracle upon her so believers and non-believers world-wide alike can see the enormity of Your powers and the strength of pure love. We humbly ask this of you, Our Father, from whom all kindness eminates, and all good flows. We ask this for Terri and for the world that has hardened its heart because of evil's poison. We beg for Your greatest act of compassion, and Your greatest sign of power to bring Terri out of the fog and into the sunshine of this glorious Easter Season. Amen
No argument from me.
I truly think Jeb is doing all he can do. This may be one of the ducks in that neat little row.
Everything Carla Iyers has said about this case is suspicious. She was fired over this matter. She has no credibility.
I was mainly talking about Jeb, not Bush, in my last couple posts.

I meant to say RESTRAINING ORDER not INJUNCTION.
