On Fox News Channel, Martha McCallum just announced that Florida governor Jeb Bush will make a statement on the Terri Schiavo case at 3 PM EST.
you can call it minutia if you want. the simple question remains - HOW DO WE WIN? The judiciary isn't going to budge, you see what happened now with the FL Senate.
Amazing how well some people bear up under other people's troubles!
Greer can't, he's stone blind. He has never seen Terri's face. He's lived this case out totally in a world of talk and words and other people's reports.
My wife is a hospice nurse and she is appalled by this. She is not terminal and she fears this case will give hospice a black eye.
its a trick. would you rather live in a healthy body or in a body with a paralized body? The media would spin that obvious question into "majority would choose death over paralysis."
Some hospices are run badly and others are excellent.
A name like Jaquan.
Thanks for the welcome...and LOL
>Can you imagine the egg these people and the media will have on their faces if Terri is shown to NOT be PVS?<
Please tell me the person to make that decision is not our friend, good ol' Judge Greer!
I'm not sure of the technical details, but I feel confident that Jeb Bush wouldn't have called a press conference if he knew that Greer or any judge could stop this. If the DCF needs something signed, my hunch is they know of a judge who's already said he'll sign it immediately.
Here's my note to them:
I used to love watching Shepard Smith, but after hearing him dehumanize Terri today by calling her a "vegetable", forget it! Your slant about Terri has been awful, with the exception of Sean and Greta once in a while. You must be getting your info from the same places that the other network stations get theirs from. What did you do, hire Dan Rather and his crew as fact-finders?
Sincerely,

I understand your point, but even if it's a straight-up question, how a healthy person feels about the concept of disability simply isn't useful in determining whether a disabled person has what, for him, is a happy and meaningful life.
Could DCF send a delegation to take her to DC for Congress' sake?
DCF MOVE IN NOW!!
I agree with you utahagen. No doubt the two are in close contact because Bush has made completely clear his opinion in this case. (Not to mention the fact that they're close brothers!) This morning the President made a statement that several Freepers paused over saying hmm, what did he mean by that, because he seemed to stress the importance of exploring all options of the executive branch.
If Jeb takes her into custody, I'll definitely think that the two of them were working together to make it happen and that the President was making a veiled reference.
I have been at the very end for a person dying in hospice. I was there for the last rights and the final breath. It takes a very special person to work in hospice. Sadly this HAS given hospice a black eye.
Instead of a place of compassion, Michael Shiavo has made them accomplices to murder by court order.
My son kept saying he didn't want to live past 30 - thought that once you were that old life wasn't worth living. He said that repeatedly.
Well he is 28, engaged and looking forward to 30 and many more.
What you think about life changes frequently.
