And Dr. Ronald "Death" Cranford is a picture of integrity.
To: Trinity_Tx
Trinity_Tx is absolutely correct. Mike Bilarakis [sp] a local politician "nominated" him. His Nobel Prize nomination is no more valid than mine.
After hearing about his "nomination" I had my wife send in a letter nominating me for the Nobel Prize in Literature. Would you consider me a "Nobel Prize Nominee"?
Here's the official procedure:
"The process of selecting a winner of the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine starts in September, about a year before the prize announcement. At this time, the prize-awarder in Stockholm (The Nobel Assembly at Karolinska Institute) sends out invitations to about 3,000 people who are allowed to propose winners. These are mainly members of the Nobel Assembly, previous prize winners, and a selection of professors at universities around the world."
Mike Bilirakis is not on the list of invited.
Hammesfahr is a fraud, self-promoting quack and demonstrated liar. Hannity's actions last night were not only wrong and in bad taste, but discredit him as a journalist.
To: WhistlingPastTheGraveyard
Yes- and compared to Hammesfahr he is a paragon of virtue.
To: daylate-dollarshort
Sure he is. Just like Judge Greer.
Any other right-to-die activists you'd like to put in a good word for while you're at it? Maybe they can help you buy another boat.
To: daylate-dollarshort
Last I checked Sean does not consider himself a journalist. Have you heard somewhere that he does?

She's hasn't been helped in all the years past because her husband has stopped all therapy, ordered that NO therapy be given her.
He stopped rigorous therapy after 3 years by her parents own admission. Doctors had been telling him it was hopeless long before then. See GAL Wolfson's report and the comment and link at bottom of blue section on my profile. Read archived local news for more.
Terri was able to talk a few words, used to sit at the nurses station and interact with people and was able to eat from a spoor or fork when fed....but hubby put a stop to all of that. He's forbidden her to be taken outside, he's forbidden her window curtains to be opened, etc.....he's shut her off from the world.
That comes from very non-credible Carla Iyer and, in small parts, from 2 nurse assistants. Link to why judge threw those out on my page, and know that their comments fly in the face of what the other nurses said, and what the GALs said. I posted earlier tonight how Carla sat next to GAL Pearse and his reaction to her outrageous claims.
He had the spoon feeding stopped and insisted she be fed through a tube instead.
No, she was given the tube before she ever left the first hospital. She failed the 3 annual swallow tests they gave her the 1st three years while she was being given therapy. The last one said after all that, it was no use testing again.
In '93, GAL Wolfson recommended new tests, tho, and I do wish all his recommendations had been heeded. The Schindlers asked that he be reinstated, but since he had been there under Terri's law and it was found unconstitutional... sad.

Read "The Diving Bell and the Butterfly".

First good day! Secondly wow, terrific informative comment, thanks Trinity_Tx.
Trinity_Tex, Peach, Howlin:
I have a question, when Gov. Bush had the feeding tube back into Terri, it was his hope that they could re-evaluate her status and make sure that indeed the court had rendered the correct decisions. Frankly I was upset about his interfering but because I do value life I supported the courts ruling.
What have they been doing between now and then. The parents had said they would stand by the decision if it were over turned. So, now we are at again. Having so many bites of the apple and still not getting what they want.
It is heartbreaking, when will it end. I know that if in the end the parents prevailed that she will have loved ones around her. Once they are gone than who will care for her. Not that those involved on the side of the family would do this I just mean family.
I have said that I have put my desires in writing. I have no doubt this case has spurred a movement never before seen to get a directive if put in her situation.
I know, however I arrive in the loving arms of the Lord, he will be there earlier or if a show up late. That I will know no pain. That I will see my loved one's again. Will it be later or sooner is the question?
