I found this to be a bit shocking, to say the least.

Hail to the Culture of Death. And people (even some FReepers) wonder why law-abiding citizens are so cynical, and jaded about the police, judges, and the court system as it is now so perversely practiced.

The parents are expected to file charges. I should hope so - and a hefty civil lawsuit should go along with it. This is an outrage.

"Suothern Illinois woman was arrested last week (March 17) after trying to intervene on behalf of her 14-year old daughter's effort to have an abortion"
Okay I haven't read the thread. I was going to say, are you kidding?
But after the "kids arrested for bringing Terri water" pictures ... after all we've all fought for on Terri's behalf, I guess this doesn't surprise me.
May God forgive us.

This is ismply horrid. I don't like to think about what U would do in a similar situation, to save the life of my granddaughter. Not to mention the emotional/psychological well-being of my daughter.

I can't wait for the G*dd**n liberal baby killing b*sta*ds to come along and hector me as to how the government should not intervene in private family matters, as in the Sciavo case.

I'm apologizing in advance for not reading the entire thread, but at the risk of repeating someone else, why hasn't the woman that picked her up from school been charged with kidnapping?

There should be no "legal" reasons for not putting the name of the mother arrested at the abortion clinic. That's a matter of public record. Makes it difficult to follow this story, because you'd need the names to google...
The story is so horrible that I'm hoping it's a hoax. There are so many crimes taking place that it's absurd that there haven't been more arrests--and so many causes of civil action...

http://worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=43435 ....;. Still no names.
The arrested mother can file all kinds of criminal charges, but she also has causes of civil action against the boy's family. Kidnapping, fraud--just for starters--they are "intentional torts" as well as crimes.
I'm afraid I smell a hoax.

Hope Abortion Clinic Shudder..
My husband made the mistake of telling me about this story as he was just about to drop me off at work, where I have to be cheery and talk to customers. It took me about twenty minutes to regain a voice that sounded like I wasn't JUST about to cry.
