I would trust my husband to follow my wishes.

Thank God you have a fine man for a husband. Sadly, Terri Schiavo doesn't. She isn't the first and she won'tbe the last.

"I would trust my husband to follow my wishes."

How convenient for you that you still have this ability to make this known. This is all about YOU.

Are you so sure the husband has Terri's best wishes at heart? My sense is that someone who would not even allow her teeth to be brushed does not in fact feel "love", that someone who has sired children with another women who he is by current definition of common law married IMO should remove himself or be removed from her guardianship. Something stinks here, I can smell it. Reason and Revelation! With our leaders guided by a higher law, a natural law that is fundamental to all humans everywhere. This is at the core of our great founding, John Locke the philosopher most influential to our framers believed virtue as the first educational principle and regarding virtue....

"As foundation of this, there ought to be very early imprinted on his mind a true notion of God, as of the the independent Supreme being, Author and Maker of all things, from Whom we receive all our good, Who loves us and gives us all things."

Somehow this whole case, on many levels seems to be further evidence either intentionally or not to deconstruct the very principles that we claim to hold dear.
