Catholic prayer warning (for those uncomfortable with calling on the saints)



St. Michael the archangel,
defend us in the day of battle,
stand watch over Terri
as they try to bring her down to the door of death.
St. Rita,
you who have been there in so many desperate cases,
pray for Terri.
St. Jude,
saint of desperate cases,
pray for Terri.
St. Anthony, to whom once Jesus appeared
as an infant,
tell Jesus how much we love him and pray for Terri.
St. Joseph, guardian of the Church,
protector of women,
pray for Terri.
O Mary, lady of sorrows,
who stood and watched as your beloved Jesus
struggled and bled and died,
remember your namesake Mary Schindler,
watching her daughter die at the hands of a cruelty
called law,
pray for Terri,
and cover her with you mantle.
Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world,
have mercy on us,
Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world,

Let us pray:
O God, you who sent your son into the world that we might learn your ways of love and light, we ask you to help our sister Terri, save her from the hands of those who would take her life, and lift her up into the arms of those she loves.

And may we learn from her example about the wonderful gift of life you have given us, in the name of Jesus, Amen.
