Ohh, good. Now there can be an adultery case tried before anything can be done about someone.
For God's sake, after the Terri Schiavo case everyone understands about Living Wills.
From this day forward, anyone who doesn't have one can be assumed to want to be dead, or to not care.
After all, 80% of people still say they would not want to be kept alive like that.

LOL, I disagree with you.
Mr. Shiavo claims he can't grant Terry a divorce because it is against his religion.(LOL) But I guess his religion condones adultery??? Come on, who puts any weight in what he says about divorce when he goes and does the second???

Otherwise, I agree, put it in writing, if you mean it . . . whatever it is.

From this day forward, anyone who doesn't have one can be assumed to want to be dead, or to not care. I almost never agree with you, but this statement is exactly right. It might be even more accurate to change "can be assumed" to "WILL be assumed."

I expect you will get your wish. This nation is so ready to err on the side of death in just about any case.

" anyone who doesn't have one can be assumed to want to be dead,"
or want all measures done to be kept alive--that use to be the assumption.

Used to be, medical professionals were required and honor-bound to take whatever extra-ordinary measures were available to preserve a life. Living Wills were designed to tell them, if effect, I don't want you do do that; Let me die.
But you, in a fit of logic-impairment, have concluded that if an individual does NOT create a Living Will, then medical professionals (and the courts) should assume s/he wants them to act as if s/he did create a Living Will.
Don't quit your day job to go into any career requiring the use of logic at any level.

Whoah, "assumed to want to be dead"?? Living wills are generally made to give that instruction to counter the responsible assumption that a person is assumed to want to live!

Are we to assume all those who for whatever reason are incapable of writing up a living will, want to die or don't care?
Ominous and Scary.
