I'd like to see this one on a website to our good friends, the ACLU:

"Dear ACLU:

Are prisoners on death row in each of the 50 United States ever denied food and water for periods, in order to punish them for anything?

If not, why is that? What are the legal protections to prevent such witholding of food and water."

Well, of course not, you see it's not painful.
They would have a lovely, peaceful time of it. What would be the point?
