I think we can walk and chew gum at the same time. The Schiavo case points out the tyranny of the judicial system, IMO one of this country's most important issues.
Not that I agree with user odoso' statement, but it would appear that WE CANNOT "walk and chew gum at the same time" Evidenced by the 10 million plus illegal immigrants in the US RIGHT NOW!!
At the risk of repeating what I'm certain has been posted/replied here a thousand times, this case would be the bellweather Euthanasia case. Schiavo's lawyer, Felos I believe, and the rest of the Euthanasia crowd can't wait for Terri to die to use this case ad nauseum in the future. I personally believe this will energize the Euthanasia support base to such an extent that the US will rapidly approach where the Netherlands already is vis-a-vis Euthanasia within 5 years.
A local radio station cited a poll this morning. I believe it was the USA Today poll asking ~900 people the question: If Terri was your daughter would you want her to live or to die? I'm pretty sure the poll went 60% in favor of dying.
Its only a matter of time before Planned Parenthood rolls out a program to legally profit from Euthanasia. You can be certain they've already had plnning meetings about it. Could this be why Gloria Feldt left so abruptly? Perhaps her mom or dad is elderly and infirm.
The culture of death pervades through every chink and keyhole. Pray like your life depends on it, because if Terri dies at our hands, it will.
Please God, save us from ourselves. Your will be done.
