I happen to be a Christian and a scientist, and I really resent the notion that to be a scientist is to be anti-God. Most of my friends at work are also scientists and Christians. None of us see a contradiction.

Indeed, I have argued that the Creationism / ID viewpoint is anti-God. I will repeat the argument here:

When you two go to heaven, and I will stipulate that you might be good people and make it, God will say to you: "Well, TalonDJ and anguish, you are good people. Welcome to Heaven. But that Creationism stuff. Did you really think that was the best I could do??? And that ID stuff was positively insulting!!"
