Yeah, and Hitler's efforts to create a "master race" didn't contradict that quote at all. ::::rolls eyes::::

He [Hitler -LC]
was a darwinite! So, Hitler was a darwinite, and if I'm a darwinite then I'm a Nazi, eh? Sweet.
Hitler believed that Aryans are holy and were created in God's "image", while other races evolved from apes, hence his hatred for racial mixing because it diluted God's image
Sounds like to me Hitler was just effin nuts.

"Considering that neoconservatives are descendents of communists"It is 'arguments' like that the are causing more and more Americans to abandon belief in evolution.

He was a darwinite! I'm not sure where you got that, considering you later say: "Hitler believed that Aryans are holy and were created in God's "image", while other races evolved from apes, hence his hatred for racial mixing because it diluted God's image."

I said nothing about making the 'kid feel good.' IN fact, Creationism tends to do the opposite by implying there might be Someone out there more powerful than men. Not really, since it implies a benevolent Someone.
On the other hand, Mother Nature doesn't care if you live or die (But she will kill you anyway)

Evolution is a religion, that very old religion called "we are gods"
Evolution does not say "we are gods", you shameless liar.

nor will I be baited into relating our opinions to intelligence.Admirable. Holding to the topic being discussed rather than chasing after issues that have no actual connection to it, other than in one's own mind, is rare in debate.
Of course, your restraint would have been more impressive had terriergal's actual comment been about intelligence rather than education. I would expect an evolution proponent to understand the difference; it does bear rather directly on the idea of natural selection.

Evolution in no way advocates moral relativism. Those individuals and societies that adhere to moral conduct, hard work, encourage cooperation, and that are future oriented are those that thrive. Those that do the opposite, fall by the wayside. As far as human cultures are concerned, there is a correct way to go about things. Because man is unique in being the most social animal, good social behavior is positive as far as evolution is concerned.

After this, I'm finished with the Adolph stuff: no "creationist believes inferior races descend from apes, or that Aryans are the fittest.

NO the religion of "we are gods" says we evolved.
POUND SAND!

He didn't say Aryans were the fittest. He said they were created in the image of God. As for your "no creationist believes..." I think you should reread the "
No true Scotsman" fallacy.

We were naked and slow. Perhaps that's why we evolved in the direction of increased intelligence, which is superior to being covered with fur or fleet of foot.

NO the religion of "we are gods" says we evolved. What religion is that then? Are you a member of it perhaps? I haven't heard of any such religion. Or is this just something that you've made up?

If the choice in future elections is between a socialist dem party and a creationist republican party, it's all over.
I daresay that I'm not sure that a socialist government would be worse than a creationist government. At least with socialism, the populace can more easily wise up to the failure of the system; creationism promotes ignorance, thus people under it are far less likely to come out of the dark.

Well I was under the assumption that she was trying to equate iintelligence with education, when in reality education has no real bearing on intelligence. I may be 'well' educated but that does not make me smart nor intelligent. My father is one of the most intelligent people I know and he never finished high school. Thanks for the compliment!

Does the idea of neoconservatism's origins bother you? It makes sense for them to go along with ID. Neocons are statists and their communist origins means they believe in the inherent maleability of human nature. And they seek to use the state to guide human nature in the manner they want it. If evolution is true, then that would mean human nature is constant, as you cannot just legislate away millions of years of biological natural selection and thousands of years of cultural selection.

Does this discussion matter any further? Oztrich Boy already demonstrated that metacognative's presentation of Ruse's quote was flat-out dishonesty.
