'We, the people of the State of Florida, being grateful to Almighty God for our constitutional liberty, in order to secure its benefits, perfect our government, insure domestic tranquility, maintain public order, and guarantee equal civil and political rights to all, do ordain and establish this constitution.'Preamble
Also, So help me God. Is that a secular oath in which every Official must take?
What specific God is that oath referring, the State?
As to the law: "an unjust law or promise is no law" --Augustine
We have staked the whole future of American civilization, not upon the power of government, far from it. We have staked the future of all of our political institutions...upon the capacity of each and all of us to govern ourselves, to control ourselves, to sustain ourselves according to the Ten Commandments of God. -- James Madison
As to Greer's case, Terri had no living will stating what her husband "wishes".
Her "husband" wishes came after a million dollar lawsuit was won. Tell me, where is the logic in Greer's decision? Tell me, was Terri's defense giving into consideration by this Judge (Living Will)? Greer had every right and opportunity under "the law" to keep Terri alive. He chose death. End of story.

So you agree that this case should be decided on the basis of the law and the law alone, and not on any personal beliefs or religious instructions the judge might have?
