Well said. Please don't misunderstand me, my heart aches for this family. However, this is a medical matter, and I am resentful of the attempt to turn this into a Constitutional crisis.
The family should remove her from the facility forthwith. Once home, they are free to engage the services of such medical and nursing professionals as they wish who will render any assistance required. They should have instructed their attorney to bring some sort of proceeding to sever the matrimonial bonds if need be, in order to facilitate the transfer to home hospice care.
There are so many things dreadfully wrong with this case, legally, medically and morally. It's very sad.
"The family should remove her from the facility forthwith"
Really? And how should they do that against the armed guards Mikey has around her.
"They should have instructed their attorney to bring some sort of proceeding to sever the matrimonial bonds if need be,"
I believe they tried that (I could me mistaken on this) and were told they had no standing.
Amen, MaggieCarta.
