I think you're confusing me with another Freeper. I never said that an annulment means there was never a marriage. (I know that that is not the case.) I said that an annulment would have no impact on the legality of the marriage. (I didn't even touch the issue of why there will be no annulment, anyway.)

perhaps so.

the purpose of annulment is to legally erase the marriage. It is very difficult to do in fl, judges prefer a simple divorce path. (I have only done a handful of anulment petitions, all were marriages of less than 6 months.)
