I find this whole thing appalling. Most Americans do not want Congress involved in this kind of an issue and neither do I.
The legislature only allowed access to the federal courts. It is their JOB to be involved in this type of situation.
Due process required federal review. Well federal review is now taking place.
Congress is not involved. Saying Congress is involved is a democrat talking point. You might as well be stating that terri's case was unimportant because people are loosing their welfare rights while she starves.
What congress did carried no guarantee of a different result. If anything, the husband should have no problem re litigating his position in federal court as long as his ducks are all lined up.
FL law provides for the parents to litigate, this is what is happening.
