Hospice is not an appropriate place for her. I've wondered about this. I thought most hospices required the attending physician's assurance that the person had six months or less to live before admitting someone.

I fail to understand why the legal team is not mounting a more vigorous attempt to have a family member appointed as guardian. They filed a petition on this in Dec. of 2002. Judge Greer has refused to move forward on this petition.

I would be glad to discuss Elian on another thread but my point is that Elian didn't "go way" and neither will Terri.

WRONG!@ Greer decided who's testimoney was valid nad considered 'fact', not the other courts. He arbitrarily threw out testimoney from family members and Terri's friends That is what judges and juries do. They hear the competing claims and decide what they believe are valid based upon the proponderance of the evidence. They just dont believe something is true because an interested party says so.

Now you are really spreading lies. The man was nominated for the Nobel Prize for his work on brain damaged patients.

Yeah, wouldn't if be so much better if we never saw Terri Schiavo, just like the Florida judge who ruled against her. OMG, what planet do these people come from? The same one that certain people on this thread came from it seems.

I don't think anyone, including her family, believes that Terri will return to her previous state. I also doubt anyone believes that had she been given some level of consistent therapy for the past 12 years, she would still be as bad off as she is today.
All they want is what she deserves - the therapies given to any person in her condition. And there's a lot to be said for basic human decency. No way can he defend denying her any stimuli, the sun, her family etc.
Before cessation of therapy, she was saying simple words. Neglect has caused her hands to curl into her chest. A nurse was once forbidden by Michael from placing washcloths in her hands to prevent this, as he considered it therapy.
With regard to her being "dead," have you see this video? The dr administering the test is one of Michael's, by the way. He's pretty tickled by her response.

"why couldn't a small fraction of us mob that hospice, push away the defenders, and feed that woman, even if we have to rescue her and hide her some place to do it."You offering to organize? Better get busy, there's not much time.

LOL! Are you aware that the names of Nobel nominees are not published for 50 years? Hammesfahr is a NNINO -- Nobel Nominee In Name Only.

My God, especially in light of Greer's conflict of interest so early on, not to mention so many other things, how the heck can Whittemore say that? He's saying one, they are unlikely to convince the court that Terri is not in persistent vegetative state. Two, that Terri did not tell her husband that she did not want to live in such a condition. Micheal may be a heal and he certainly has moved on but so has Terri. She has been gone for 15 years.

It is their job to present the news, regardless of whether or not they believe what they are presenting. To your knowledge has CNN, MSNBC or any other, presented this news?

"that would have been jailed had he failed to send child support. He would have his paycheck garnished. His tax refund check would be intercepted..."
I don't believe Cubans pay taxes here, nor are child support rulings made here to encompass a Cuban civilian.
"Father wanted him returned"
Yes, I'm sure anyone would say the same with a gun in the hand of a Castro thug pointed at his head.

You death lovers always have to resort to lies to support your morally bankrupt position. I think you are looking in the mirror.

You can learn all about Hammesfahr at www.quackwatch.org.

That was my understanding of it as well. Of course, we haven't heard any MSM coverage of the fact that Felos is directly connected to the hospice that Terri is in. I'm sure that has something to do with the bending of the rules for Michael.
