Just heard on Fox....so sad.
Crudely calling Jed Bush a coward for no reason other than he has not gone off half cocked and acted like a Latin American dictator is what I called a "disruptor".
Then you said that the real problem is that Michael Schiavo is still alive and able to act as Terri's guardian. You called for direct action to deal with that "problem". That is disruption. And it is very clear to me that you are too off the wall.
He likely enjoyed three fine meals as he cogitated, and downed a tall glass of Florida orange juice as he penned the death warrant condemning an innocent soul to death by dehydration.
He also said that she could be rehabilitated to the point where she could go out to dinner and enjoy life.
And the judiciary of the State of Florida is murdering her (with the sanctioning of this Federal Judge) because her husband wants her dead.
My understanding is that they attempted to get this language in the bill, and were told by a number of Democrats that they wouldn't vote for it if that language was in there.
Oh please .. that is not even close
Try going back to convincing everyone that Michael should get a medal for being a saint of a husband
They've petitioned the court to have Michael removed as guardian and Greer has refused.
Then you laugh at Ronald Reagan who firmly believed those under communism were slaves.
you know nothing.
You are free to leave and not pay your taxes. Castro would welcome you as new property. Perhaps you can find a nice EU country where the presumption of death protects you from suffering in case of injury.
Communism is slavery period. Elian was returned to slavery, period. Your red herrings are irrelevant.
He is an acknowledged quack in his field who is capitalizing on Terri's plight to gain a few minutes of fame.
.
She is blasting the video saying that the national debate violates her privacy right
Yeah, wouldn't if be so much better if we never saw Terri Schiavo, just like the Florida judge who ruled against her. OMG, what planet do these people come from?
ps - Greer did the same with the FL DCF, just recently. They requested time for an investigation into allegations of abuse and neglect and he refused that as well.
A wise decision. Sorry I brought up the resemblance.
tht wasn't the impression that I got. In fact, they seemed to be familiar with her story. They must have read her affidavit. When they felt she was neglecting to mention something they would ask a question and she would fill in the blanks.
Would it not be better to re-debate the Elian case on a thread that is for that purpose?
O'REILLY: When they took the feeding tube out, what went through your mind?
ADAMSON: When the feeding tube was turned off for eight days, I thought I was going insane. I was screaming out in my mind, "Don't you know I need to eat?" And even up until that point, I had been having a bagful of Ensure as my nourishment that was going through the feeding tube. At that point, it sounded pretty good. I just wanted something. The fact that I had nothing, the hunger pains overrode every thought I had.
O'REILLY: So you were feeling pain when they removed your tube?
ADAMSON: Yes. Oh, absolutely. Absolutely. To say that--especially when Michael [Schiavo] on national TV mentioned last week that it's a pretty painless thing to have the feeding tube removed--it is the exact opposite. It was sheer torture, Bill.
O'REILLY: It's just amazing.
ADAMSON: Sheer torture . . .
And BTW, I'll bet you any amount of money that Elian would whip any Florida child in scholastic testing.
Much of the stories about life in Cuba are overblown and false. It's naive to believe otherwise. They couldn't stop a revolution if they were true...especially with the advent of cable and satellite.
By his judicial decree, not only is the tube removed, but no liquid or food is to be brought near her lips. That is akin to removing someone from a respirator after surgery and pinching the nose closed and covering the mouth just to make sure they won't breathe on their own.

Very well put. That is the exact comparison.
SCOTUS doesnt hear evidence. They hear briefs on the law and decide constitutionality. Evidence (hearing on facts) is only done by the Federal District Courts. Appeals Courts and SCOTUS only deal with due process and constitutional type issues.
I'm sure they were familiar with her story. However, they are newsmen. It is their job to present the news, regardless of whether or not they believe what they are presenting.
