This is farcical. If you think there is a big distinction because of the delivery means (spoon vs tube) you really need to go to an adolescent site and try to argue there.

We have the technology to place a feeding tube with little invasion and pain. Thus, neurologically damaged individuals do not have to starve to death in the U.S. A feeding tube can buy time. A feeding tube is not a heroic measure.
