If you believe Isaiah and Ezekiel, Israel will not be overrun.
I realize, however, that doesn't on its own constitute a responsible or complete defense strategy.
That's interesting, even though what is now known as Israel has been overrun several times since those days. Everybody from Macedonians to Mongols has pretty much done what they wanted in the region.
