I'm confused - as to why this article was even written.

The String Theory has already been proved 'wrong' and is passe in physics. It's been replaced by the "M" theory (membrane) which solved all the gaps that existed in the String Theory.

(maybe this guy should watch the Science Channel?)

Funny tone too. Like the author is ANGRY about string theory.

Haven't heard anything on M theory...maybe it will turn into the new string theory where faults will appear and the explanations for those faults will be made, which will change the theory but people will still say the theory is good.

And after awhile, the whole theory looks like a patchwork quilt and people keep trying to say it's a unified theory.

Watching the string theory proponents try to defend the theory is kind of like what happens when you ask a person who believes in time travel how they account for either the first law of thermodynamics or the constant motion of all objects in the universe.
