Terri was being dehydrated and starved for 3 days already!
The Congress and Bush could act on Palm Sunday, and here is this judge who got the case early Monday, and will hold a hearing at 3 pm, while Terri is suffering and dying!
Link to home page of the Court:
Freeped.
Call Gov Jeb Bush and demand that he take Terri into protective custody RIGHT NOW in order to investigate outstanding charges of abuse, neglect and exploitation by his very own Dept. of Children and Families.
Jeb Bush's # 1-850-488-4441 - Terri can't wait 'til 3 p.m. today.
I don't trust this judge. He's a Clintoon appointee. And again Terri can't wait 'til 3 p.m. today. She's dying!!!
Judges are supposed to rule according to the law, not public opinion, right? We don't want our judges influenced by emails, do we?
Should I use the "feedback" section to respond?
Judges hate to be contacted by the people.
Part of their delusions of godhood.
"Should I use the "feedback" section to respond?"
Yes. That's the only contact info I was able to find.
Please put something like:
Hon. J. Whittemore, re: SCHIAVO - URGENT in the title, to make sure he gets it.
I wrote and urged him to order the reinsertion of the feeding tube NOW, IMMEDIATELY, THEN examine the case, Terri needs help NOW and he shouldn't allow time to run out.
This is not a question of ruling, this is a question of keeping Terri alive, until he WILL rule.
First he has to order the feeding tube to be reinserted -- Terri has been without food and water for 3 days already!
Judges are supposed to rule according to the law, not public opinion, right? We don't want our judges influenced by emails, do we?
A judge is not supposed to be moved by public opinion --fair or not. Only evidentiary facts adn the law. Don't disparage yourself and your cause by thinking this is a political cause and that the judge should be sensitive to your views. Sorry, but that is the situation.
So you think he should just sit and wait until Terri dies and everything will be moot?
This is URGENT, NOT a "normal" case. The whole US Congress and President Bush could come in on the weekend, and this judge can't take 1 minute to sign an order to reinsert the feeding tube, THEN he can take his time with the hearing.
That's what I asked him to do.
A thought has occurred to me. Is a living will a contract? If a willing will is a contract then couldn't the law of contracts apply to this case? If the law contracts apply to this case then shouldn't there be more substantial proof of Terri's wishes than the memories of a conversation she had with her husband? If substantial proof of Terri's wishes didn't exist then shouldn't Terri's husband request be denied?
Any lawyers out there that could answer those question?
Message sent. I emphasized the need to prevent further brain injury which could ensue from dehydration if he delays.
Maybe you should think about what would actually produce positive results rather than what would allow you to express your individuality.
Spamming the court, if it produces any effect at all, would make the judge more inclined to allow the killing of Terri. That is in the character of many judges; they are fully capable of being supercilious and unserious and reactionary.
Some pointed out that it sets a horrible precedent that someone is being put to death based on hearsay evidence.
What's worse, Judge Greer didn't even just rule allowing MS to take out he feeding tube, he specifically ordered that the tube removed, "until dead", working in criminal death penalty cases.
IOW, he ordered that a known innocent person be killed, based on hearsay evidence by someone who clearly has a conflict of interest.
First they came for the disabled...
Are you saying that this judge is vindictive and will kill Terri, "just to show us"?
Done!
I called and left name and number and message to reinstate the tube and then look at the case.
And sitting by, while this judge fiddles and Terri dies will produce positive results?
