What will be interesting, and a litmus test of the much balleyhooed methodology for identifying 'Homeland Security' risks per (everyone's fav trample-the-constitution-tool) The Patriot Act [flame suit on], is whether Vox, ends up arrested as a threat to the Homeland.

I'm willing to bet that its only a matter of time before Vox, and those like him, are rounded up and carted off (sans due process).

I do the same thing, but here in California those letters to politicians often fall on deaf ears, thanks to the strong hispanic lobby and huge hispanic population here. Most of the politicians pander to illegal immigration. (REAL) conservative politicians are few and far between.

Is that diagram a joke? There are arrows going every which direction. How could anybody or any one of the groups be responsible or accountable for anything?

Just look at the first two levels. Summits of the Americas - Heads of States is apparently over both: Ministers of Foreign Affairs and OAS General Assembly. But then there are arrows from both of these organizations implying that Heads of States are accountable to them.

If you look at all the arrows you'll find that almost every box on the chart has either direct or indirect accountability to every other group. But almost every box also has direct or indirect authority over every other group. Everything goes in a huge mixed up circle with nobody in charge and everybody in charge.

It ought to work almost as well as the UN.

The water has been boiling for a while, and there is no place to jump to. Any talk of fighting back is just shoveling sand against the tide.

Even if patriots decide that ballots no longer work and bullets are now necessary, then what exactly would we be fighting for anyway? The vast majority of this country has been socialized into the Hollywood/gay marriage/multicultural/national healthcare nonsense, and they won't risk their getting their hands dirty fighting for anything anyway.

It is a done deal. The only thing left is our illusion that something can be done to stop it.

The UN has done a fantastic job and they need to be congratulated. At least half of our legislators think we cannot survive without them. The UN is the origin or everything mentioned in the article.

As the article is pointing out, what 'we the people' want with regard to the matter of immigration/illegal immigration is not what our "representatives" respond to. The same can be said of taxes, regulations on business, affirmative action, and numerous other issues.

The trajectory of the federal government is alway, inexorably, toward greater scope and scale and costs. Nothing has changed that in 200+ years. There have been brief moments, say during the Reagan years, when it seemed that the centralized and humongous federal leviathan might be tamed. Reagan said he wanted to abolish the Department of Education, etc.

He didn't. He did manage, however, to grant the amnesty for illegals that has set us up with the problem we have today.

In 1994, the freshmen congressmen and their 'Contract with America' seemed to be another chance to rollback the lard.

Did it work? I haven't noticed.

Our kids, according to recent surveys, seem to think the First Amendment goes too far. They have no clue at all about the Second, or any of the rest for that matter. Our politicians have become very adept at tailoring their message to appease those of us that might still believe that a centralized, socialist government is bad, but nothing at all ever gets done. And I suspect that there are more people that believe the government should be in the health care business that there are people that don't.

We can come here and vent, but what is to be done about it? I don't like looking around and seeing the Californication of America, but it is happening. The demographic shifts that are occurring seem cast on stone. The values-neutral, morally relative politically correct cultural Marxism gains adherents each day.

We get hopeful when we see Bush disavow the World Court, or not sign Kyoto. But does it really matter? He obviously has his lips firmly planted on Vincente Fox's ass, and will acquiesce to the one world schemes, even if they start out just being regional. He may have seemingly gone against the UN with regard to our foreign policy, but it turns out that it was really to bolster the UN, to enforce the UN resolutions, which, in the long run makes the UN stronger. Has there been any serious talk at all about kicking those bastards out of the country and turning the building into condos? Not that I have heard.

So, whenever I see people referring to the 'next civil war' or the 'second American Revolution', I have to wonder what it is we will be fighting for. I see no point in spending my life shoveling sand against the tide. The one world borderless UN dominated ideals are being driven by people that I have no control over, nor capacity to vote in or out. They can take it slow, and guys like you and me that might have been the ones to actually do the fighting get older and die off to be replaced with people socialized by the NEA and our public schools, and who embrace everything that has slowly crept up on us for the past 50 years while we have been venting against it.

I don't like being fatalistic, but that's where I am at. You caught me in a mood. Sorry.
