It seems like there are very few Democrats participating so far. Is this because more Democrats are still on their way, or nobody - other than a few unapologetic leftists - will dare speak?

I think a lot of the Dems know that if this bill fails to pass, they will be forever known as the party that killed Terri Schiavo. And they understand the political implicaitons of this. Not good. The Republicans have decided to screw politics and to fight for the life of an innocent woman.
